The jokes of Musk on Twitter

Elon Musk, the famous South African businessman responsible for the creation of large companies such as Paypal, Tesla and SpaceX, has published a post on his official Twitter account this January 10 in which he refers to Bitcoin jokingly. In his post Musk jokingly said: "Bitcoin is not my security word."

It is not the first time that Musk refers to cryptocurrencies, although he almost always does it jokingly. In 2019 the Dogecoin community chose Musk as their preference to play the address of the cryptocurrency in a Twitter survey. Musk responded to the survey by stating that he had accepted the executive direction of Dogecoin, always jokingly. But although it was evident that Musk was joking, Dogecoin experienced a sharp rise in its price, which indicates the importance of famous people like Elon Musk giving diffusion to cryptocurrencies so that the technology is known by more people around of the world.

Despite the jokes, Musk said that he is in favor of technology and believes that Blockchain technology is "pretty bright", although he believes that the Bitcoin (Proof of Work) consensus mechanism consumes devious energy so it is necessary to solve that problem.

Musk also said that "cryptocurrencies are also a much better way of transferring value than pieces of paper."
