MetaMask, one of the most popular Ethereum (ETH) wallets, announced the launch of an application that will be available for iOS and Android. The new mobile app will allow users to manage their cryptocurrency wallets, sign messages, play blockchan-based games, and store non-fungible tokens (NFTs) directly from their mobile devices. The MetaMask wallet was developed by ConsenSys in 2016 as an exclusive extension of the Chrome and Firefox browsers (to date it records more than four million downloads).

** Giant bank Citigroup announced that it has increased its stake in the Komgo sturtup that is based on Ethereum's blockchain technology.

MetaMask Mobile allows you to buy Ether directly with Apple Pay, debit cards and other local payment methods available in 34 countries. At the end of 2019, ConsenSys launched the beta version of MetaMask Mobile and it was a huge success: 135,000 users signed up quickly. MetaMask founder Dan Finlay said: "We are delighted to offer a specially designed browsing experience for decentralized applications and to allow users to seamlessly sync with their desktop MetaMask accounts."

** Rumors are growing that indicate the possible merger of the blockchain team of the largest bank in the United States, JPMorgan, with the blockchain software services company ConsenSys.

MetaMask Mobile has an integrated web browser that aims to reinforce the security of Web3 users by generating passwords and keys directly on the user's device instead of using the internet for it. Joseph Lubin, founder of ConsenSys and co-creator of Ethereum, said: "What smartphones have done for Web2, we believe MetaMask Mobile will do for Web3."
